ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2024
Applications are now open for the Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) and Marine Fitter Course (MFC) for the academic year 20242025. Interested candidates can download the application form and Prospectus from the official website: www.cifnet.gov.in. Applications must be submitted along with the required documents and application fee.
COURSE DETAILS:
- Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) / Marine Fitter Course (MFC)
- Duration: Two years
- Practical training on board deep sea fishing vessels
- Courses introduced by the Directorate General of Training, Government of India, New Delhi, under the Craftsmen Training Scheme of NCVT.
- Residential courses conducted at CIFNET Kochi/Chennai/Visakhapatnam.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Candidates must have passed 10th standard with a minimum of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science separately.
- Candidates appearing for 10th exams in 2024 are also eligible.
- Age: 15 to 20 years as of 1st August 2024. Upper age relaxable for SC/ST candidates
INTAKE CAPACITY:
- VNC: 20 seats
- MFC: 20 seats
- Total of 120 seats across CIFNET Kochi/Chennai/Visakhapatnam
- Seats reserved for Gen/GenEWS/OBCNCL/SC/ST and State Government/UT Sponsorship.
MODE OF SELECTION
- All India basis Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted.
- Stipend of Rs. 1500/ per month for selected candidates.
- Post Institutional Training offered based on merit rank with a stipend of Rs. 20500/ pm and onetime Uniform allowance of Rs. 2500/.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Last date for submission of applications: 14.06.2024
- CET Date: 29.06.2024 (Saturday)
- Result Announcement: 07.07.2024 (Sunday)
- Centralized Counselling for admission: 18.07.2024 (Thursday) at CIFNET Kochi.
APPLICATION FEES:
- General/OBC: Rs. 350/
- SC/ST: Rs. 175/
