Dr. Bijay Kumar Behera (ARS:2001) has been appointed Chief Executive of the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), as per an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 12, 2024. In his new role, Dr. Behera, with his extensive experience in fisheries management, aims to propel the NFDB towards sustainable growth and innovation. He stresses collaboration and innovation to tackle sector challenges and maximise socio-economic benefits.
