ICAR-CIBA is conducting a 3-day training on Aquaculture Pond Water and Soil Analytical Techniques and Interpretation of Results from 15th to 17th October 2024 at Chennai. This program is designed for aquaculture professionals and students aiming to enhance their pond management skills.

- Soil and Water Sampling Techniques
- Sampling methods for both new and existing aquaculture ponds.
- Analytical Procedures
- Analysis of abiotic and biotic soil and water parameters.
- Onsite Measurement
- Use of portable kits and meters for quick parameter assessment.
- Laboratory Analysis
- Detailed lab procedures to determine soil and water suitability for aquaculture.
- Interpretation of Results
- Understanding and applying results for improved shrimp farm management.
- Minerals in Low Saline Systems
- Importance of minerals in aquaculture, especially in low salinity conditions.
- Treatments
- Techniques for improving soil and water quality.
TRAVEL AND BOARDING
- Expenses for travel, TA/DA must be borne by the participants or their sponsoring organizations.
- Limited hostel accommodation is available. Suitable accommodation can be arranged in nearby hotels on payment with prior intimation.

Nomination and Course Fee:
- Complete the registration form and submit it by 30th September 2024.
- Fee: ₹4,130 (including 18% GST) per person. Fee includes application, course material, and working lunch.
- Fees are non-refundable but transferable in case of cancellation.
