Bhimavaram, November 2024 – The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) has announced a specialized training program for aquaculture technicians, scheduled to take place from 26 to 29 November 2024 in Bhimavaram. This initiative aims to address the critical need for high standards in aquaculture exports, ensuring Indian aquaculture products meet global expectations and reduce trade barriers caused by unauthorized inputs in export consignments.
Key Objectives of the Training Program:
Topics to Be Covered: The training will cover the seafood export scenario, new technologies, regulations, health management, food safety, traceability, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and market access issues. Experts will also address global competitiveness, standard operating procedures, and field visits are planned to give participants hands-on experience.
Eligibility and Requirements: Applicants must be employed in shrimp hatcheries, farm/feed companies, or related fields with at least one year of experience and must be over 20 years of age. A minimum qualification of a diploma is required.
