Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture (RGCA), an Aquaculture Technology Incubation Centre of Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Govt. of India, is organizing a 4-day Hands-on Training Programme on “Hatchery Production of Marine Fin Fish” at Pozhiyoor, Thiruvananthapuram from 19th to 22nd August 2024.
HANDS-ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON HATCHERY PRODUCTION OF MARINE FIN FISH 19TH TO 22ND AUGUST 2024, POZHIYOOR, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
RAJIV GANDHI CENTRE FOR AQUACULTURE (MPEDA, MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY, GOVT. OF INDIA)
Programme Objectives:
- Diversification of aquaculture: Introduction to innovations in aquaculture.
- Components of Marine Fin Fish Hatchery and Hatchery Operation.
- Biology of Cobia/Pompano, Broodstock Management, Water Quality Parameters, and Induced Breeding Techniques.
- Practical exposure to tank preparation for breeding and hands-on training in cannulation, hormonal induction, handling, and treatment techniques.
- Live feed culture, larval rearing, egg collection, stocking, live feed enrichment, and feeding.
- Grading and nursery rearing, Artemia culture, seed packing, and transportation.
Registration Details:
- Fee: ₹5000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only)
(Inclusive of course material, training certificate, tea & snacks for the entire training period. Travel, boarding, lodging, and other personal expenses are not included.) - Target Participants: Hatchery technicians, farmers, entrepreneurs, college/university students, research scholars.
