SHORT-TERM TRAINING ON WATER AND SEDIMENT ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES

The ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) is excited to present Know Your Marine Biodiversity & Environment (MarBiE 3) training series once again. This short-term training program is tailored for participants eager to learn practical skills in analyzing water and sediment samples, specifically to advance the study of marine ecosystems and their health.
Key Training Areas:
- Water Quality Analysis: Techniques for assessing dissolved oxygen levels, nutrient concentrations, and pollutant presence.
- Sediment Characterization: Methods for determining grain size, organic matter content, and more.
- Contaminant Identification: Recognizing common pollutants affecting marine life.
- Analytical Instrumentation: Hands-on use of instruments for comprehensive water and sediment analysis.
- Field Collection Trips: Practical experience in gathering sediment and water samples for analysis.
