ICAR-CIFT invites you to join our hands-on training on “Advanced Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Cell Culture Techniques in Food Safety.”

Training Details:

Programme Fee:

  • Fee: Rs. 10,000/- (Exclusive of 18% GST)
  • Includes: Working lunch, training kits, and study materials
  • Exemptions: Candidates belonging to SC/ST & NEII regions are exempted from the program fee

Travel, Food, and Accommodation:

  • Accommodation:
    • Provided in ICAR-CIFT Trainees Hostel on a sharing basis

    • No TA/DA provided to participants
    • Travel, food, and accommodation expenses for SC/ST & NEH region candidates borne by ICAR-CIFT as per Government guidelines

Microbiological Techniques:

  • Isolation and identification of bacteria of public health significance
  • Plating techniques in microbiology
  • MPN techniques in microbiology
  • Biochemical characterization of bacteria
  • AMR detection
  • Bacteriophage Isolation

Molecular Techniques:

  • DNA/RNA isolation
  • Introduction to PCR and its types
  • Molecular characterization of bacterial pathogens
  • Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles

Cell Culture Techniques:

  • Cell culture and safety procedures
  • Microscopic analysis of cells
  • Maintenance of cell cultures
  • Cytotoxicity assay

Duration and Schedule:

  • Training Duration: 10 days
  • Dates: 01 October – 10 October 2024
  • Arrival: Outstation participants should reach ICAR-CIFT by the evening of 30th September 2024
  • Departure: Participants are advised to plan their return journey after 5:00 PM on 10th October 2024

Eligibility:

  • Target Audience: Postgraduate students in Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Life Sciences
  • Total Candidates: 25
  • Selection: Screening committee as per ICAR guidelines
  • Intimation: Selected candidates will be informed on 23rd September 2024
