This training program on Advances in Fishing Gear Materials will enhance participants’ knowledge on modern materials and technologies used in fishing gear, essential for improving efficiency and sustainability in fisheries. It offers SC category candidates an opportunity to gain specialized skills, supported by ICAR-CIFT.

- Introduction to Fishing Gears and Materials
- Properties and Testing of Fishing Gear Materials
- Recent Advances in Fishing Gear Materials
- Standards for Fishing Gear Materials
- Gear Material Protection, Including Nanotechnological Applications
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates with BFSc, MFSc, or from allied Fisheries Sciences and other Science groups.
- Candidates must belong to the SC category.
