Phycospora is hiring Site Officers and Field In-Charge to revolutionize seaweed farming through advanced biotechnology and sustainable practices. Join us in empowering coastal communities and enhancing seaweed cultivation in the Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay regions!

Phycospora is a leader in advancing seaweed innovation through biotechnology. We focus on developing robust seaweed seedlings, enhancing cultivation practices, and ensuring sustainable seaweed biomass supply. Our mission is to empower women fisherfolk, youth, and coastal communities through sustainable practices and improved seaweed farming.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular site visits to monitor and manage sea-based nurseries, hatchery activities, and sustainable farming practices.
  2. Collect and analyze data on seedling growth, cultivation progress, and environmental conditions.
  3. Prepare detailed reports and provide insights on farming activities.
  4. Support training programs for farmers and students.
  5. Serve as the primary contact for local seaweed farmers, offering technical support and resolving challenges.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Degree Holders: B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Nanotechnology, Agriculture, Chemistry, Maths, IT, B.Com, or Arts.
    • Others: SSLC and +2 candidates are also encouraged to apply.

 

Location:

Field-based roles in Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram, Gulf of Mannar, and Palk Bay coastal areas.
