Fisheries University Empowers Villagers with Training on Ready-Made Fish Soup Powder Packs

Nagapattinam: Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University in Nagapattinam conducted a specialized training program on the production of ready-made fish soup powder packs. The initiative, tailored for the villagers of Vadakudi and Manjakollai, aimed at fostering economic independence and was generously funded by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, a flagship program of the Government of India.

Titled “A Splash of Empowerment: Fisheries University Trains Villagers in Fish Soup Powder Production,” the event witnessed the active participation of around 50 individuals eager to acquire new skills for economic upliftment.

The training session, led by proficient professors and faculty members from the Fisheries University, featured hands-on demonstrations showcasing effective methods for crafting convenient and marketable fish soup powder packs. The initiative not only sought to equip villagers with practical skills but also aligned with broader efforts to bolster sustainable livelihoods and promote economic self-sufficiency within local communities.

This collaborative effort between the university and the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan reflects a commitment to fostering socio-economic development at the grassroots level.
