India is among the world’s top seafood producers, yet most of what we harvest feeds the world not our own families. Over 80% of Indian seafood is exported, while domestic consumption remains limited and under-promoted. To change this imbalance, Fishery.News has launched the Indian Seafood Consumption Revolution (ISCR) a first-of-its-kind digital movement to make seafood a weekly protein in every Indian household.
ISCR aims to shift the perception of seafood from an export commodity to an everyday nutrition source. The campaign is powered by the vision of our Founder & CEO , Induvardhan Reddy, who believes that farmer resilience and family nutrition are two sides of the same story. When Indians choose local seafood, they not only improve their own health but also support thousands of aquaculture farmers who depend on stable domestic demand.
Fishery.News is dedicating its platforms entirely to awareness through videos, farmer stories, expert interviews, and community polls. The goal is to create national conversations about trusted protein, food security, and rural livelihoods.
Seafood is affordable, sustainable, and nutrient-rich. It’s time India treats it not as luxury but as necessity. Every bite of Indian fish supports a farmer, sustains a village, and strengthens our economy.
The first step is ours—the next step is yours.
Join the revolution to move India from our waters to our plates.
