ICAR-CIFRI, BARRACKPORE INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR INTERVIEW (OFFLINE MODE)

ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) invites applications for an interview to engage two (02) Research Assistants under the project “Fish Conservation and Stock Enhancement of Fishery of Ganga River Basin (Phase – III),” under the Namami Gange Mission – II. The details are as follows:

  • Project Component: Ex situ captive breeding of commercially important indigenous fish species of the Ganga basin followed by ranching programs to improve the prey base for aquatic animals and enhance fisheries livelihoods under the “Arth Ganga” concept.

Position Details:

  • No. of Positions: Two (02) Research Assistants
  • Tenure: One (01) year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier
  • Essential Qualification: M. Sc.
  • Remuneration: ₹ 31,000/- per month (consolidated as per ICAR rules)
  • Age Limit: Below 45 years as of the closing date of application (age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang candidates as per rules)

  • Date & Time: 29th September at 10:00 AM
  • Venue: ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore, Kolkata-700120
  • Place of Posting: Head Office, ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore or project sites as per necessity

Application Instructions:

  1. Application Process:
    • Candidates must send separate applications for each post to interviewcifri@gmail.com.
    • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
    • Scanned copies of the application, along with a detailed bio-data (with recent passport-sized photo) and self-attested certificates supporting age, qualifications, experience, testimonials, and credentials, must be sent to interviewcifri@gmail.com by 5:00 PM on 25th September 2024. Late applications will be rejected.
  2. Required Documents: Applicants must submit their Graduation & Post Graduation certificates (or provisional certificates); otherwise, the application will be rejected.
  3. No TA/DA: Candidates will not be provided with TA/DA for attending the interview.
  4. NOC Requirement: Applicants currently employed must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
  5. Field Work: Selected candidates may be stationed at Barrackpore or any project site across India, involving extensive fieldwork and frequent travel for sample collection.
  6. Important Notes:
    • Original documents must be presented at the time of joining.
    • The engagement is purely temporary, and selected candidates will not have any claim for regular appointments.
    • Accommodation requests will not be entertained.
