In a decisive move prioritizing food safety, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh has mandated the enforcement of a ban specifically on the open sale of fish and meat.
This significant decision, formulated during the inaugural cabinet meeting, aligns with the implementation of food safety rules and guidelines mandated by the Government of India.
Chief Minister Yadav underscored the necessity of strict adherence to established guidelines during a press conference in Bhopal. The focus of the initiative is on regulating the open sale of fish and meat, and a comprehensive campaign will be launched from December 15 to 31 to achieve this objective.
To ensure effective implementation, a concerted effort involving the food department, police, and local urban bodies will be initiated. The measures seek to elevate food safety standards, particularly in the context of fish sales, highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to enforcing regulations and promoting responsible practices within the fisheries industry.
