National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Eastern Regional Centre (ERC), and NFFBB participated in the ‘MATSYA- PRANEE SAMAVESH ODISHA 2024’ event organised by Fisheries & Animal Resources Development (ARD) Department of Government of Odisha at Bhubaneswar.
The event itself was a very important platform where the stakeholders of the fisheries sector could gather together and share ideas on the future development and improvement of fisheries in Odisha. The participation held by the representatives from NFDB, ERC and NFFBB contributed to the discussions relating to various sides of fisheries, which included the sustainable measures, technological inventions, and market chances.
The main topics covered in the event were scaling the aquaculture practices, growing fishery entrepreneurship, and uplifting the fishermen communities. Participation of NFDB, ERC and NFFBB evidence that the agencies are willing to support the growth and prosperity of the fishing industry in Odisha.
Overall, ‘MATSYA- PRANEE SAMAVESH ODISHA 2024’ was a valuable medium for networking, sharing knowledge and ideas towards the promotion of fisheries in the region.
