Rare Fish Fetches Odisha Fishermen Rs 1 Lakh Each: A Stroke of Luck in Bhadrak

It was a highly fortunate day for fishermen at Bhadrak, Odisha, as they got to win seven super lucky Solapatia fish from the waters of Chandni Pal in the Dhamra estuary on Tuesday. This specimen catch was valued highly by the traders and brought a huge sum of Rs 1,08,000. Indeed, the Solapatia fish, which is a friendly and rare one, has inspired people to watch these marine gems that fondly live there. Alongside the journey toward huge profits, it didn’t go in vain.

On Monday, the other group of fishermen hauled in and landed about seven more of these unusual species, pushing the nickname Solapatia into the spotlight again. As the catch was landed, lots of people came eager to see such extraordinary specimens. A Kolkata-based entrepreneur made the determination to step in and take control of the bid. Appearing on the stage with a buyer, this entrepreneur snapped off the goods for Rs 1, 08, 000.

There is a notion that the fishing businessman sold the fish to a medicine manufacturing company in Chennai; besides this, the whole value of the big catch has been exaggerated in the media. If anyone now mentions one of these exceptional and precious marine species, the name Bhadrak will pass through their mind. This type of snake, largely including ‘Ghol’ (represented as ‘Tellia’), is the most prevalent. One single herring, which can go up to 30 kg, is a prize collection for the fishermen in the said area and can probably be sold at a price range of 1 lakh rupees and can be increased.

The strong run over the last couple of days points to the hitherto unrealized resourcefulness of the state’s seas and reinforces the oarsman’s hard labor for financial support. With the constant demand from customers for these critters, the ridge of the sea will have something to offer people who are willing to go fishing.
