Recruitment Advertisement for Project Staff at National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM)

NCSCM invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for recruitment of the following temporary project positions on a contract basis. The term of engagement will be co-terminus with the project or one year, whichever is earlier, unless extended subject to availability of funds and/or performance/conduct of the incumbent, not exceeding 5 years total continuous service.

1. Junior Research Fellow (or) Junior Project Fellow

• Remuneration (Rs./Month): Junior Research Fellow: 37,000 + HRA
  Junior Project Fellow: 24,000 + HRA
• Max. Age Limit: 28 years
• Categories of disabled suitable for the post: OA, OL, B, LV, HH

Qualification / Experience:

• Essential:
  • For Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduate degree in Environmental Sciences/ Natural Science / Marine Sciences and related disciplines with NET qualification or equivalent national level examination.
  • For Junior Project Fellow: Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Sciences/ Marine Sciences and related disciplines.
    (NET/GATE qualification required unless suitable candidates are not available)
• Nature of Work: Assisting scientists in extensive field sampling, water and sediment quality analysis.

General Conditions:

• Candidates must possess a valid email ID and mobile number until the conclusion of the recruitment process.
• Upper age limit relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and OBC by 3 years.
• Engagement on contract does not imply any right/claim for regular appointment in NCSCM or any Government organization.
• Initial posting likely in Chennai; candidates may be posted/transferred anywhere in India.
• Experience counted from the date of acquiring essential qualifications.
• Candidates already employed in Government must produce NOC during interview.
