Recruitment for the Post of Young Professional-II at CMFRI

The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) invites applications for the position of Young Professional-II in the Nutrition section of the Marine Biotechnology, Fish Nutrition, and Health Division. Job Details:

• Name of the Post: Young Professional-II
• Number of Posts: One (1)
• Nature of the Post: Purely on a contractual basis for one year
• Place of Work: CMFRI, Kochi
• Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month (Consolidated as per revised ICAR guidelines)

Eligibility Conditions:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree (M.F.Sc, M.V.Sc, MSc) in Fish Nutrition/Fish Physiology and Biochemistry/Aquaculture/Zoology/Biotechnology/Fisheries Science/Marine Biology with minimum 60% marks.
• Desirable Experience:
  • Work experience in nutritional analysis, Fish Physiology and Biochemistry, molecular biology, gene editing, CRISPR-Cas, biotechnology.
  • Experience in maintaining live fish/microalgae.

Age Limit:

• 21 to 45 years (with relaxations as per the rule)

2. Interview Details:
   • Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date and time via email.
   • Only those receiving communication should appear for the interview.
3. Terms and Conditions:
   • Concealing facts or canvassing will lead to disqualification or termination.
   • The competent authority can terminate the position without assigning any reason at any time.
   • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
   • Declaration of any ICAR-CMFRI employee relatives as per ANNEXURE-II.
   • Submission of duly signed declarations as per ANNEXURE-I and ANNEXURE-II by 25th May 2024.
   • Vacancy numbers may vary based on project requirements.
   • No Objection Certificate from current employer, if any, is required.
   • Final decision rests with the Director, ICAR-CMFRI.
   • Candidates with CGPA/OGPA marks should produce an approved conversion table/formula during the interview.
   • The positions are purely contractual and do not guarantee regular appointments at CMFRI.
