ICAR-CMFRI Mandapam invites eligible candidates for a walk-in interview on 26th November 2024, for the role of Young Professional-II in a sustainable shrimp production project. Qualified postgraduates in Life Sciences or Fisheries Science with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Position: Young Professional-II (1 Position)

Organization: ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Mandapam Regional Centre

Project: “Sea Ranching of Green Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus semisulcatus) Post Larvae (PL) in Palk Bay and Gulf of Mannar, Tamil Nadu for Sustainable Shrimp Production” under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Essential: Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences (including Biology, Zoology, Botany) or Master of Fisheries Science with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
    • Desirable: Minimum of 3 years of experience in shrimp seed production; proficiency in computer skills.
  • Age Limit: 21-45 years (relaxation as per rules).

Compensation

  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 42,000 (fixed)

Important Notes

  1. Documents: Candidates must bring original and self-attested copies of certificates, proof of age, and mark sheets.
  2. Other Requirements:
    • Candidates currently employed should provide a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
    • If relatives are ICAR-CMFRI employees, candidates must declare the relationship in writing.
    • CGPA/OGPA holders must bring an approved conversion formula for interview consideration.
  3. Position Terms:
    • Purely temporary, co-terminus with the project.
    • No TA/DA provided for interview attendance.
    • The role does not lead to a regular appointment at ICAR-CMFRI.
