An interview is scheduled to be held on 08.05.2024 at ICARCentral Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi for the recruitment of two Young Professionals I under the project entitled “Integrating Risk Assessments and Future Projections for Sustainable Coastal Resilience”. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email, and only those who receive communication may appear for the interview on the specified date and time. Essential Qualifications: Graduates/Diploma holders in Fisheries Science/Marine Science
Desirable Experiences: Knowledge in ecological principles/environmental analysis/GIS/ Geoinformatics.
Nature and Duration of the Post:
- Environmental data collection and analysis/Laboratory experiments/field experiments.
- Post is purely on a contract basis for a period of one year from the date of joining or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
Age Limit: The minimum age under the young professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.
Emoluments: Rs. 30,000/ per month (Consolidated Emoluments as per ICAR guidelines)

Essential Qualifications: Graduates in Economics/Statistics
Desirable Experiences: Master’s degree with expertise in data analysis using statistical/ Econometric software.
Nature and Duration of the Post:
- Field surveys/Data compilation and analysis/manuscript preparation and reporting.
- Post is purely on a contract basis for a period of one year from the date of joining or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
Age Limit: The minimum age under the young professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.
Emoluments: Rs. 30,000/- per month (Consolidated Emoluments as per ICAR guidelines)
Terms and Conditions:
- All the original certificates from matriculation onwards must be sent in scanned form to mbemd.ira@gmail.com on or before 30.04.2024. Without these certificates, applicants would not be allowed to appear for the interview. Candidates should produce one valid ID proof at the time of the interview.
- Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
- The competent authority has the right to terminate without assigning any reason at any time.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview.
- If any of his/her near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICARCMFRI, the candidate intending to attend the interview has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing as detailed in ANNEXUREII, and communicate to the undersigned by post or through e‐mail at mbemd.ira@gmail.com on or before 30.04.2024.
- All the candidates are required compulsorily to furnish the declaration as detailed in ANNEXUREI and ANNEXUREII duly signed and submitted on or before 30.04.2024.
- The total number of vacancies may vary depending on other project requirements, if any, on the date of the interview.
- Candidates should produce the No Objection Certificate from their present employer, if any.
- Decision of the Director, ICARCMFRI will be final and binding in all respects.
- Candidates having marks issued in the form of CGPA/OGPA should produce approved conversion table/formula at the time of reporting for interview, otherwise, their candidature will not be considered.
- The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, nonregular, timebound and are coterminus with the project.
