RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND FIELD SURVEYORS AT ICAR-CIFRI

Applications are invited for an offline interview at ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CIFRI) for the engagement of various manpower under the Department of Fisheries, Govt of Uttar Pradesh project entitled “Mapping of Water-Bodies for the Development of the Fisheries Sector Using Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques and Collection of Variety-wise Fish Prices in the State Including Ornamental Fish.” Details are as follows:

 

Position: Young Professional-II (02 Posts)

• Tenure: 9 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
• Essential Qualification:
  Graduate with at least 60% in Geography/Science/Engineering Technology and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Remote Sensing/GIS.
  OR
  Masters in Remote Sensing and GIS/MSc in Geoinformatics with experience in waterbody delineation.
  OR
  Masters in Fishery Science with experience in remote sensing and GIS.
• Desirable Qualification:
  Experience in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), statistical software, programming languages, waterbodies delineation, Google Earth Engine.
• Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (relaxation as per rules).
• Interview Date and Location:
  • 30th September 2024, 10 AM at Prayagraj
  • 1st October 2024, 10 AM at Barrackpore
• Place of Posting: 1 post at Barrackpore, 1 post at Prayagraj.

 

Position: Young Professional-I (04 Posts)

• Tenure: 9 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
• Essential Qualification:
  Graduate with at least 60% in Geography/Science/Engineering Technology and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Remote Sensing/GIS.
  OR
  Masters in Remote Sensing and GIS/Masters in Fishery Science with experience in waterbody delineation.
• Desirable Qualification:
  Experience in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), statistical software, programming languages, waterbodies delineation.
• Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (relaxation as per rules).
• Interview Date and Location:
  • 30th September 2024, 10 AM at Prayagraj
  • 1st October 2024, 10 AM at Barrackpore
• Place of Posting: 2 posts at Barrackpore, 2 posts at Prayagraj.

 

Position: Young Professional-I (01 Post)

• Tenure: 9 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
• Essential Qualification:
  M.Sc. in Fisheries Economics/Agricultural Economics/Agricultural Marketing.
• Desirable Qualification:
  Experience in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), statistical software, programming languages, proficiency in Hindi and English.
• Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (relaxation as per rules).
• Interview Date and Location:
  • 1st October 2024, 10 AM at Barrackpore
• Place of Posting: Barrackpore.

 

Position: Field Surveyor (06 Posts)

• Tenure: 9 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
• Essential Qualification:
  Graduate in any discipline. Proficiency in the local language and familiarity with the study area is essential.
• Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- per month (consolidated).
• Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (relaxation as per rules).
• Interview Date and Location:
  • 30th September 2024, 10 AM at Prayagraj
• Place of Posting: Prayagraj.

 

Important Information:

1. Separate applications must be sent for each post via email.
2. Only Indian citizens are eligible.
3. The number of vacancies may vary.

5. Selected candidates will be posted at Barrackpore or Prayagraj and may need to conduct fieldwork and extensive travel.
