Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of a Research Associate under the project titled “Evaluation and Refinement of Biofloc-Based New Age Farming Technology Through Effective Microbial Management, Recirculation, and Input Optimization for Sustainable Intensification Across Different Aquaculture Systems.” This recruitment is on a purely temporary basis at this institute.

Duration: Two years
Essential Qualifications:
- For Ph.D. holders:D. in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Zoology, Marine Biology, or Marine Biotechnology.
- For Master’s degree holders: Master’s degree in Aquaculture or Fisheries Science with a 4 to 5-year Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, along with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements. Applicants must have one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS-rated (24.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in shrimp farming, farm management, and feed management.
- Research experience in shrimp farming, biofloc-based shrimp management, and related activities.
Emoluments:
- 49,000/- per month + HRA (for Master’s degree holders)
- 54,000/- per month + HRA (for Ph.D. holders)
Age Limit:
- Minimum 25 years and maximum 45 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
Place of Posting: ICAR-CIBA, Chennai, Muttukadu Experimental Station.
