RECRUITMENT OF QUALITY CONTROL TRAINEES AT MPEDA

The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) invites applications from qualified fisheries postgraduates conversant in the vernacular language of the concerned states to be engaged as Quality Control Trainees at its Regional Divisions/Sub-Regional Divisions. The trainees will assist in Quality Control-related tasks, including supporting seafood processing and handling establishments in HACCP implementation & quality monitoring, conducting Sanitation training programs, verifying seafood processing establishments under the respective field office, and suggesting corrective actions in quality control and traceability.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Fisheries Science, Industrial Fisheries, or Aquaculture from a recognized university.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • Specialization in Fish Processing Technology/Quality Assurance/Industrial Fisheries.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of HACCP implementation in seafood processing establishments.

No. of Trainee Positions: 10 (Ten)

Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years (as of 31.08.2024).

Stipend: ₹18,000/- per month (consolidated).

Period of Training: One year.

Training Locations: Bhimavaram, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Porbandar, Tuticorin, Veraval, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may submit their applications online through the MPEDA website www.mpeda.gov.in (Notification > Opportunities > Opening List) on or before 31.08.2024. Applications that do not meet the prescribed criteria will be summarily rejected without any correspondence. Candidates who have already applied as per Notification No. TR/02/2023 dated 20.12.2023 need not apply again.

Important Notes:

  • Candidates may choose only one training location, which cannot be changed afterward. Selection of multiple locations is not permitted.
  • The training engagement does not entitle the trainee to any claim for permanent employment in MPEDA or its associated establishments.
