Spanning an impressive 51,248 net square meters, the expo boasts a 4 percent increase in exhibit space compared to the previous year. Organised by Diversified Communications, the event welcomes 2,244 companies from 87 countries.

Vice President of Seafood at Diversified, Wynter Courmont, expressed excitement about the milestone edition, highlighting the expansion into an additional hall. New participating countries, including Azerbaijan, Brazil, and the Czech Republic, alongside regional pavilions from Brazil, France, and Japan, promise a diverse global representation.

The event serves as a pivotal platform for seafood industry stakeholders, from suppliers and equipment manufacturers to retail buyers and government leaders. Notable new exhibitors such as CPF Culinar, Pacifico Aquaculture, and Phillips Foods Inc. are set to showcase their offerings, alongside established names like Regal Springs AG and Mar Pacifico.

To accommodate the rapid growth, the expo now occupies halls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and the Galleria, facilitating seamless navigation for attendees. A comprehensive conference programme featuring over 90 international experts covers a wide range of topics, including labour rights, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

The economic impact of the expo on Barcelona is estimated to exceed EUR 156 million (USD 166.3 million), reinforcing its significance as a global seafood business hub. Courmont anticipates a bustling three days, with the city buzzing with seafood professionals from around the world.
