The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) announces a comprehensive Summer Internship program focusing on “Advanced Microbiology, Molecular Biology And Cell Culture Techniques In Food Safety.” This intensive training, spanning 21 days from 1st to 21st May 2024, offers a unique opportunity for postgraduate students pursuing studies in Microbiology and Biotechnology to enhance their skills and knowledge in the critical domain of food safety.
Duration: 1st to 21st May 2024
Venue: Microbiology Fermentation and Biotechnology Division, ICAR CIFT, CIFT Junction, Matsyapuri post, Willingdon Island, Cochin, Kerala-682029
Programme Fee: The programme fee is Rs. 15,000/- (inclusive of GST), covering working lunch, training kits, and study materials. Candidates belonging to SC/ST & NEH regions are exempt from the program fee. Payment can be conveniently made online through the ICAR-CIFT website under the Services Tab > Online Payment Gateway > Payment Category: Training Fees > Pay Rs. 15,000/-.
Travel, Food, and Accommodation: Selected candidates will be provided with working lunch during the training period. Accommodation will be arranged at ICAR-CIFT Trainees Hostel on a sharing basis at a nominal rate of Rs. 80/- per bed per day. Please note that no TA/DA will be provided to participants.

Eligibility: Postgraduate students pursuing Microbiology or Biotechnology are eligible to apply. A total of 25 candidates will be selected based on the screening committee’s evaluation, adhering to ICAR guidelines. Selected candidates will be notified during the last week of April 2024.
