In the video, Yadav can be seen expressing gratitude to Sahni for preparing the fish. However, the BJP wasted no time in lambasting Yadav, with Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha accusing him of insulting Sanatan Dharma and pandering to minorities.
Yadav, in response, defended the video, claiming it was merely a test of the intelligence of BJP leaders and the media. He also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that he equated the BJP with divinity by branding opposition parties as anti-Sanatan Dharma.
Furthermore, Yadav criticised PM Modi’s intensive campaigning despite confidence in winning the Lok Sabha polls, calling it unbecoming of a Prime Minister. He stressed that his family’s religious practices were not meant for ostentation but were deeply rooted in tradition.
