Telangana Government Launches Heritage Documentation Initiative on World Heritage Day

On the eve of World Heritage Day, Smt. A. Vani Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Telangana, and Director General of EPTRI, announced a significant initiative aimed at documenting the region’s cultural and ecological heritage. Joined by Smt. M. Prashanti, IAS, Additional Secretary to the Government of Telangana, the initiative calls for proposals on documenting heritage sites, wetlands, unique landforms, and biodiversity. This joint effort by EPTRI and the Telangana Biodiversity Board invites participation from universities, institutions, NGOs, research scholars, and students. Emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural and natural heritage, Smt. A. Vani Prasad urged active participation from all stakeholders. The initiative seeks to preserve and promote the rich cultural and ecological diversity of Telangana. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals by May 15, 2024. This initiative aims to deepen understanding and appreciation of heritage, fostering active participation in its preservation for future generations.
