The Hon’ble Minister of SC Welfare, ARD, and Fisheries, Sudhangshu Das, chaired a comprehensive review meeting with officials from the ARD, Fisheries, and SCW departments in Khowai on Wednesday. The meeting aimed to assess the progress of ongoing projects and schemes and their impact on the community.
During the interaction with the media, Minister Sudhangshu Das emphasized the importance of completing projects within the stipulated time and ensuring that government development initiatives are implemented promptly. He inquired about the status of projects undertaken in the last four months and urged officials to expedite any pending work.
Reflecting on the achievements and challenges encountered in the SC, ARD, and Fisheries departments under his purview, Minister Sudhangshu Das acknowledged that the first review meeting took place four months ago. With the end of the 2022-23 financial year approaching, he engaged in a detailed discussion with officials regarding the overall development progress and future expectations.
The meeting, held in the presence of MLAs Nirmal Biswas, Ranjit Debbarma, Pinaki Das Chowdhury, and Directors from Fisheries, ARD, and SC Welfare Departments, addressed critical issues concerning the effective implementation of government schemes. Minister Sudhangshu Das reaffirmed his commitment to achieving substantial development milestones by the end of the financial year.
