Emolument: Rs. 42,000/- per month consolidated

Overview:

The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA), located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is inviting applications through a Walk-in-Interview for the engagement of four Young Professional-II on a contractual basis. This engagement is part of the ICAR Research Project, “Genome Editing in Aquaculture.”

Qualifications:

  • Essential: M.F.Sc / M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Aquaculture/Zoology or Life Sciences from a recognized University in India.
  • Desirable: Candidates with working experience in Gene editing and completed Pre-Ph.D. coursework shall be given preference.

Age Limit: 21 to 45 years (as on the date of the interview) with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC & Divyang as per rules.

Requirements:

  • Interested candidates are required to bring their Bio-Data (5 Copies), two passport size photographs, and one set of self-attested copies of all certificates/marks sheets/experience certificates.
  • Original certificates and proof of age and caste need to be produced at the time of the interview for verification.
  • The selected candidate may be required to work in rural areas and travel extensively as per project requirements.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  • Interim inquiries will not be entertained, and canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

  • The engagements are purely temporary and will stand terminated automatically after the completion of the indicated period or as intimated subsequently.
  • The selected candidate may have to join immediately.
  • The Director, ICAR-CIFA, reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process, and their decision will be final.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their educational qualifications, desirability, and performance in the personal interview.

  • Desirable Qualifications: 20 marks
  • Personal Interview: 40 marks
