WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR FIELD ASSISTANT POSITION AT ICAR-CMFRI, VISAKHAPATNAM

The Visakhapatnam Regional Centre of the ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) is conducting a walk-in interview for the recruitment of a Field Assistant. This position is part of an APSBB-funded project titled “Bio-inventorying and Documentation of Marine Species in Coastal and Marine Ecosystems of Andhra Pradesh.”

Key Details:

  • Post Name: Field Assistant
  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Location: Visakhapatnam Regional Centre, ICAR-CMFRI
  • Nature of Job: Contractual (two years or till the end of the project).
  • Emoluments: ₹15,000 per month (consolidated).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential Qualification:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, Industrial Fisheries, Zoology, or relevant subjects.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Experience in taxonomy of marine flora and fauna.
    • Knowledge of experimental fishing, plankton collection, local language proficiency, photography, computer skills, and data analysis.
    • The candidate should be seaworthy and proficient in Telugu.
  • Age Limit:
    • Minimum: 21 years
    • Maximum: 45 years (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per GOI norms).
