WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONAL-II POSITION UNDER ICAR-NASF FOODOMICS PROJECT

Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the temporary position of Young Professional-II (01 No.) on a contractual basis under the ICAR-NASF project titled: “A Detailed Foodomics Study for Food Authentication and Exploration of Nutraceutical Potential”. The position is purely contractual, for a period of 9 months, ending on 30th June 2025 or closure of the project, whichever is earlier.

Position Details:

  • Post: Young Professional-II (01 No.)
  • Emoluments: ₹35,000/- per month (Consolidated)
  • Duration: 9 months or until project closure

Essential Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, or any other relevant subject OR
  • Graduate degree in relevant Agricultural Sciences (including Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary/Engineering/Technology)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in operating LC-MS and proficiency in MATLAB, R, and Python.
  • Excellent communication and scientific writing skills in English.

Job Description:

The project aims to develop analytical methods and chemoinformatics models for seafood authentication. The selected candidate will:

  • Operate high-resolution mass spectrometers independently.
  • Create chemoinformatics models using SIMCA, MATLAB, R, and Python for seafood fraud detection.
  • Identify metabolites using vendor and open-source software.

Age Limit:

  • Men: Below 35 years
  • Women: Below 40 years
    (Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms.)

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Candidates must be willing to work in assigned areas and travel as per project requirements.
  2. Self-attested copies of age, educational qualification, caste certificates, and original documents must be brought for verification.
  3. Candidates must bring detailed bio-data, a recent passport-sized photograph, thesis/project report, and relevant publications.
  4. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
  5. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
  7. The Director’s decision will be final regarding the selection process.
