Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-interview with all relevant documents for the temporary post of Young Professional-I (01 No.) on a contractual basis to work in the Fish Behaviour Laboratory at the Fishing Technology Division of ICAR-CIFT, Cochin. The duration of the contract is up to 31st December 2024.

Position Details:

Young Professional-I : 1 Post
Emoluments of YP-I : Rs. 30,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science/ Zoology/ Environmental Science.

Desirable Qualification :

• Post-graduate Degree in Fisheries Science/ Marine Biology/ Industrial Fisheries.

Experience :

• Hands-on experience in experiments related to fish behavior and morphology.
• Experience in on-board data collection.
• Experience in rearing fish in aquaria.
• Excellent writing skills in English.

Age limit :

• Candidates should be above 21 years and a maximum of 45 years as on the date of the interview. Age relaxation as per rules.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Registration: Will begin at 9:00 A.M. and close at 10:00 A.M.
2. Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
3. Qualifications: Candidates should possess 1st class or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA.
4. Documents Required: Detailed bio-data (in the enclosed format) with a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates in support of claims regarding age, educational qualifications, experience, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/OBC etc. Original certificates must be produced for verification before the interview.
5. Provisional Certificate: Candidates should at least hold a Provisional Certificate in respect of Graduation/Professional Courses. Website results/result awaiting candidates will not be considered.
6. Contract Basis: The selected candidate will be recruited on a contract basis under ICAR norms. The post is purely temporary.
7. Eligibility: Candidates attending the interview should ensure they fulfill all eligibility conditions. No correspondence will be entertained regarding selection/test/appointment.
8. No Objection Certificate: Candidates already employed should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer while attending the interview.
9. Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.

• Disqualification: Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
• Final Decision: The decision of the Director, CIFT will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
